Joseph Antee, Fashion Business Management, was awarded a Fulbright Specialist Grant earlier this year, which enabled him to teach a summer intensive course titled Fashion Business Strategies at the Universidad de Monterrey in Mexico this past June. He had collaborated with the college for the past three semesters through the SUNY–COIL initiative. The summer intensive course had 14 upper-division fashion design students as well as three instructors from the fashion design program.

Based on his work with the Universidad de Monterrey, Antee was selected to present a paper titled “Fashion Business Strategies for Mexico” at the 41st Annual Fulbright Association Conference in Puebla, Mexico, in early November. Other topics at the conference included “Mexicans on the Move: Migration and Return to Rural Mexico” and “Anita Brenner’s Vision,1924–1928: Translating Mexican Jewish Identity” among many others. Antee said, “It was an honor to represent FIT at the Fulbright Association Conference on the global stage.”
