Brian Fallon, associate professor and director of the Writing and Speaking Studio, co-authored a new book, titled Multimodal Composing: Strategies for Twenty-First-Century Writing Consultations, with Lindsay A. Sabatino, assistant professor of English and director of the Writing Center at Wagner College. It was published in April by Utah State University Press.
With contributions from several scholars, including FIT Writing and Speaking Studio Associate Director Sarah Blazer, Multimodal Composing provides strategies for writing center directors and consultants working with writers whose texts are visual, technological, creative, and performative—texts they may be unaccustomed to reading, producing, or tutoring.
Fallon and Sabatino also created a companion website for the book, multimodalwritingcenter.org, to provide additional resources.
