In June, Corey Lacey joined the Division of Communications and External Relations as FIT’s social media coordinator. In his position, Lacey works as a member of the Media and Public Relations team in partnership with the Digital team. He comes to FIT from the Baltimore Office of Promotion and the Arts where he was digital content coordinator, managing 28 social media accounts and overseeing 11 websites. Lacey has also been an active member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), the Baltimore Festival of the Arts, Baltimore Pride, and Juniata College’s Office of Diversity and Inclusion.
Apart from day-to-day maintenance of FIT’s social media accounts, Lacey plans to focus on long-range objectives, including the assessment of FIT’s institutional social media activity, the integration of social media into the college’s overall communications plan, and the engagement of other social media producers across campus to enhance coordination and messaging.
