On June 23, C.J. Yeh, Communication Design Pathways, and Austin Thomas, exhibitions manager, School of Art and Design, spoke at the College Art Association of America’s Coffee Gathering on the topic of “Digital Aesthetics.” The College Art Association of America, also known as the CAA, promotes the visual arts and their understanding through advocacy, intellectual engagement, and a commitment to the diversity of practices and practitioners. Yeh and Thomas were invited to share their experience and thoughts on the curation and creation of digital arts.
The event was part of Resources for Academic Art Museum Professionals (RAAMP), which is a CAA project supported by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. RAAMP aims to strengthen the educational mission of academic museums and their parent organizations by providing a publicly accessible repository of resources, online forums, and relevant news and information.
