Jonathan Vatner Publishes Debut Novel

Jonathan Vatner and his book Carnegie HillJonathan Vatner, staff writer, Hue magazine, has published his first novel, titled Carnegie Hill (Thomas Dunne Books, 2019). It is a belated-coming-of-age novel about sustaining a marriage―and knowing when to walk away. It chronicles the lives of wealthy New Yorkers and the staff who serve them, as they suffer and rebound, struggle to free themselves from family entanglements, deceive each other out of love and weakness, and fumble their way to honesty. The book, released in mid-August, was named to Town & Country‘s “Must-Read Books of Summer 2019” list. People called it “entertaining and profound.”

Vatner will read from Carnegie Hill and sign copies of the book at Barnes & Noble at FIT on Tuesday, Sept. 17, from 5 to 6 pm.
