Laura Tanzer, Fashion Buying and Merchandising ’87, is a sustainable designer in Tucson, Arizona. Every aspect of her business, from her energy efficient studio to the natural fibers she sources from dead stock when possible, takes health and the environment into consideration. Some of her most in-demand items are “frammenti,” wearable art made from fabric scraps;any unused fabric is donated to local schools.
