On-Campus Food Pantry Drive

In spring 2019, FIT launched its first on-campus Food Pantry, a direct response to the State University of New York (SUNY) system initiative to fight student hunger and food insecurity. Over two semesters the college has seen an influx of students accessing the pantry, and Enrollment Management and Student Success is conducting a Food Pantry Drive to stock the pantry’s shelves and diversify the foods it can offer to students. Please consider donating shelf-stable foods, such as single-serve cereal cups, cracker snack packs, microwaveable meal bowls, and protein bars. A full list of suggested donation items can be found here.

Donation boxes can be found in the Department of Student Life (Room A713), International Student Services (Room B103), and in the Food Pantry (Room A737) until Thursday, December 19. In addition, on December 5, staff members will be tabling in the David Dubinsky Student Center Lobby from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm to accept your donations and provide more information about the program.
