FIT in the News – March 24, 2020

Black in Time, an interactive exhibition which was curated by FIT’s Black Student Union and showcased work by students, faculty, and alumni, illustrated the constant evolution of black art, using it as a teaching tool to educate visitors about black fashion, art, music, cinema, and literature, from ancient Egypt to the present day, received coverage on NowThisNews (March 7). 

Mark-Evan Blackman, assistant professor, Fashion Design, spoke with The Wall Street Journal (March 15) for an article on the emerging popularity of pearl necklaces for men.

Shawn Grain Carter, associate professor, Fashion Business Management, spoke with Business Insider Today (February 28) for a story on how the fashion world ignores older women.
