C.J. Yeh and Christie Shin, both Communication Design Pathways, created a free webinar series titled the Creative Workforce of the Future, offered through FIT’s Center for Continuing and Professional Studies, which provided self-enhancement and learning opportunities for the worldwide design community during the pandemic. In collaboration with the Grow With Google program, this webinar series covered important and forward-thinking topics ranging from remote collaboration, data-driven design, to experiential design. Panelists for this webinar series include thought leaders from major companies, organizations, and agencies such as Verizon, Wikipedia, and R/GA. To date, over 1,000 people have attended this six-part webinar series.
In May, Yeh and Shin also gave a remote guest lecture to Berghs School of Communication, located in Stockholm, Sweden. Their lecture focused on the principles and practices of responsive design. They presented several award-winning projects from their design company, Cynda Media Lab, throughout. The internationally renowned Berghs has been named School of the Year seven times in the international competition Future Lions in Cannes.
