Pride Media Publishes Ron Amato Retrospective

Many of Amato’s photographs capture nude men in nature.

In daily installments over the first week of March, Pride Media, publisher of Out, The Advocate, and Out Traveler, published a retrospective of 75 of Photography Professor Ron Amato’s environmental nudes, taken in myriad locations over 21 years, on Outtraveler.com. Also, the Advocate ran a selection of Amato’s photos over a spread in the February/March issue.

“Ron Amato’s photography has been a part of the LGBTQ+ visual landscape for more than a decade through publications like The Advocate, and Out magazines,” the Outtraveler.com article read. “It’s likely you have been moved by his work. It may have turned you on, or spurred you to buy something, or encouraged you to visit someplace, or to get outside, or to learn more about an artist or photography. As a professor at Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City he’s influencing the next generation of photographers.”
