FIT in the News – March 11, 2022

Karma’s World
FIT students designed a 50-piece fashion-forward children’s collection for licensing partners to incorporate across a range of consumer categories for Netflix’s Karma’s World, in partnership with 9 Story Media Group, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges’ entertainment media company, and FIT’s DTech Lab. Designs include jumpsuits, jackets, sweatsuits, dresses, swimsuits, and footwear. The first product is set to launch later this year.

Valerie Steele, director, The Museum at FIT, on the legacy of fashion correspondent Elsa Klensch: “Her show had a tremendous impact on popular perceptions of the fashion industry. Prior to this, fashion shows were an industry event, or you had to be a private couture client to be seeing it. Elsa Klensch really opened that up to the public.”
