Lamont O’Neal Publishes Fashion Illustration Guide

Lamont O’Neal, a Fashion Design–Art instructor at the college for a decade, recently published Illustrated Men: Drawing and Rendering the Male Fashion Figure, a comprehensive look at what it takes to create professional and eye-catching fashion sketches.

The book, released in March by Bloomsbury Visual Arts, includes over 300 color illustrations by a variety of menswear illustrators. Covering the history of menswear illustration; the fundamentals of anatomy, balance, movement, line, and color; rendering techniques; and comparisons of fashion sketches with completed garments, the tome also includes a series of interviews with leading artists in the field. It’s “the ultimate guide to drawing and rendering the male fashion figure,” according to the publisher.
