For the past week, passersby along FIT’s Seventh Avenue entrance have been treated to the sight of Illustration students painting chalk murals on the wall. The theme of this year’s Chalk FIT is “Reflection.” “It was to be taken either literally or metaphorically,” Dan Shefelman, chair of Illustration and Interactive Media, says. “Students reflected on their time at FIT and made more personal reflections on their lives. And some took the term literally and played with reflecting imagery.”
