The Summer 2024 “Notebooks Issue” of Hue magazine has won a Circle of Excellence Award from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education, a gold award in the Single Topic/Special Editions magazine category.
“The concept of displaying artists’ notebooks and exploring their minds—how they think, create, reflect, and express themselves is captivating and so beautifully captured—paging through the issue feels like peeking into someone’s journal and is a testament to the creative process,” the judges wrote. “It’s the kind of piece you want to revisit—not just for the content but for the feeling it gives you.”
CASE received 4,460 entries from 33 countries this year across its 93 categories; it handed out 477 awards. This is the first time Hue has earned a gold award from CASE.
The issue also received two top nods from the prestigious Print Awards, the international graphic design competition from Print Magazine. Hue won first place in the Editorial category and Editor’s Choice, a single pick across the approximately 30 categories. Alexander Isley Inc. is Hue‘s designer, working closely with the editors to create daring concepts and perfect each layout. GoodFolk, working alongside Isley, creates Hue‘s award-winning web design.
