Yanhong Zuo Presents Research on AI in Education

Yanhong Zuo, assistant professor of English and Communication Studies, contributed to an article in the Journal of Applied Learning and Teaching titled, “’Will AI Steal My Glory?’: Power Relations Perceived by College Instructors When Grappling with Generative AI.” The article is about how educators are updating their teaching practices to incorporate AI in the classroom but still maintain their authority and keep students accountable for their own learning. Zuo also recently presented her research on AI at the 2026 Conference on College Composition and Communication (CCCC) in Cleveland, Ohio. Her presentation was titled, “Caught in the Middle: Writing Tutors’ Multiple Identities in Cultivating Tutees’ AI Literacy.” CCCC is one of the largest and most influential conferences specifically focused on composition and rhetoric in the U.S.
