Exhibition: Cross-Pollination: Minimalism/Maximalism — Opens

Cross-Pollination: Minimalism/Maximalism will showcase the work of students from FIT and from LaSalle School of Art in Singapore. Students will produce original work by delving into The Museum at FIT’s exhibition Minimalism/Maximalism that explores the history of fashion with a particular focus on the 1960s and 1970s in New York City and Singapore.

From August to October of 2019, students interacted with their peers in the other country and responded to each other’s research, crossing knowledge from the West and East. This investigation helped them to articulate how to communicate in the fashion industry while being sensitive to the sociocultural, political, economic, and technological aspects of global fashion today.
