The United States Fashion Industry Association (USFIA) and the American Import Shippers Association (AISA) hold the 31st Annual Apparel Importers Trade and Transportation Conference at FIT where they will discuss the trade, transportation, and compliance challenges facing fashion brands and retailers today. The Jay and Patty Baker School of Business and Technology hosts this year’s conference.

Topics at the conference range from current issues in transportation and trade policy, to sustainability, to the outlook on global sourcing, and more. Click here for the full agenda.

USFIA is dedicated to expanding and supporting global trade in the fashion industry. The organization works to find opportunities to eliminate tariffs, open markets, to expand activities with U.S. Customs and Trusted Trader Programs, and to provide resources to help fashion brands, retailers, and importers source merchandise in cost-effective, efficient, and ethical ways. It is headquartered in Washington, D.C. and engages with the Trump administration, Congress, the WTO and other governing bodies around the world to support its members’ policy priorities. It provides accurate and timely intelligence on how trade policy and new developments in the international environment will impact the fashion industry.

Lunch, sponsor tables, and a reception will be held in the John E. Reeves Great Hall.

Note: A limited number of free tickets are available to FIT students and faculty on a first come, first served basis; register for a ticket in the Jay and Patty Baker School of Business and Technology Dean’s Office, Business and Liberal Arts Center, Fourth Floor, Room B423.

This is a ticketed event.
