August 31–September 21 The debut exhibition in the School of Art and Design's new gallery space, Construction Function, details the construction of the newly expanded Pomerantz Center. On view are photos, blueprints, samples of building materials from before, during, and after the construction detailing the entire process. September 27–October 9, 2018 The Commonwealth Fashion Exchange is a fashion showcase of 32 ball gowns—an initiative conceived by Eco-Age that celebrates artisanal fashion and skilled craftsmanship from the Commonwealth’s 53 countries. (The Commonwealth is a voluntary association of 53 independent and equal sovereign states, mostly former territories of the British Empire, that includes Canada, Australia, New Zealand, India, and Britain, as well as some of the tiniest of islands in the Pacific and the Caribbean.)
