A writer on fashion, performance, art, and cultural politics, Rhonda K. Garelick has crafted a unique, seminal biography of Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel, one the greatest fashion designers of the 20th century, in Mademoiselle: Coco Chanel and the Pulse of History. Garelick will discuss her portrait of Chanel as a woman of daring and a designer who branded a century and remade the world in her own image. A book signing will follow the presentation.
