Sunrise Studio, a company owned by Peter Wai Chan, Production Management faculty, and alumna Terri Huang, Fashion Merchandising Management ’98, won a grant from the Fashion Manufacturing Initiative, a $3 million public-private program of the Council of Fashion Designers of America and the New York City Economic Development Corporation, which supports local fashion manufacturing and promotes growth in the city’s fashion sector. Sunrise Studio produces high-end samples and is a production contractor; the grant will support equipment and technology upgrades, including sewing and fusing machines.
