FIT’s HUE Magazine Named Official Webby Awards Honoree

FIT’s HUE Magazine has been named an Official Honoree in the 20th Annual Webby Awards in the Online Video – General Film: Fashion & Beauty category for Six Questions for Susanne Bartsch.

The college is the only institution of higher education honored in this category and is in the company of W magazine and Pop Sugar, which also received this accolade.

The short video, Six Questions for Susanne Bartsch, focuses on the party maven as she is getting ready to go out, doing hair and makeup and selecting her wardrobe. The video was an innovative way of garnering interest in The Museum at FIT’s exhibition Fashion Underground: The World of Susanne Bartsch, which displayed her fashions over several decades.

The Webby Awards is the Internet’s most respected symbol of success. This year, the Webby Awards received nearly 13,000 entries from almost all 50 states and 65 countries worldwide. Webby winners are selected by The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, a global organization of industry experts and technology innovators. The online public also chooses The Webby People’s Voice Winners by casting ballots for their favorite Nominees during the annual voting period.

Winners are selected for recognition based on “overall experience,” as well as excellence in concept and writing, overall experience, quality of craft, and integration.
