FashionUnited.in (India, March 26) announced that AlgiKnit, which began as an entry to the 2016 Biodesign Challenge, is one of 15 startups selected to participate in The Fashion for Good–Plug and Play Accelerator. The program works to find and scale innovative technologies and business models that have the greatest potential to reshape the industry for good and includes mentorships with program partners Adidas, C&A, Galeries Lafayette, Kering, Target, and Zalando.
The launch of Sneaker Essentials, an online education course created by FIT’s Accessories Design program and Complex Networks and offered through the Center for Continuing and Professional Studies, was reported by TrendHunter.com (March 26).
How (April issue) noted that an invitation designed by C.J. Yeh, assistant chair, Communication Design, and Christie Shin, assistant professor, Communication Design, for the #TIME: 2016 Creative Technology Program Annual Exhibition was recognized for its merit.
