Karen Scheetz Gives Talks on the Future of Craft and Sustainability in China

Her talk was titled, “Can Craft and Technology Co-Exist in Our Future?” The topic covered the history and current innovative path that many craftspeople are currently following to combine their crafts with technology to move into the future with their art. The international conference, “Inheritance & Innovation Intelligence-Driven Fashion,” was the topic of the 2019 International Symposium on Clothing at the Hangzhou Wanxiang Polytechnic. She also attended the Fashion Design and Crafts Program Show for the graduates from this college.

The following day, Scheetz addressed a group of industry professionals and graduate students at Zhejiang Sci-Tech University on the subject of sustainability and trends in fashion in Hangzhou.
