Fibre2Fashion.com (November 24) announced that new trustees have been appointed to FIT’s Board of Trustees and that new leadership and directors were elected to the FIT Foundation.

Footwear designer Christian Louboutin, who received the 2019 Couture Council Award for Artistry of Fashion during the Couture Council’s annual luncheon benefiting The Museum at FIT (MFIT) on September 4, received coverage in Quest (October 2019 issue).

Mark-Evan Blackman, assistant professor, Fashion Design, spoke about Sidney, a line of made-to-measure suiting for both men and women, with BostonGlobe.com (November 21).

CNBC (October 15) spoke with Shawn Grain Carter about the troubles facing retailer Abercrombie & Fitch.

Valerie Steele, director and chief curator, MFIT, gave an extensive interview to ARA.cat (Spain, November 26) where she discussed her background, sustainability, and retail therapy. Steele was profiled by Vogue.es (Spain, November 28) where she reflected on the decade in fashion, sneakers, and upcoming MFIT exhibitions. FashionUnited.uk (November 29) reported that Steele delivered the keynote speech at II Coloquio de Investigadores en Textil y Moda in Barcelona. Steele spoke with FashionUnited.uk (December 6) for an article on schools that have fashion museums.

Power Mode: The Force of Fashion, which opens at MFIT on December 10, received pre-opening coverage on FT.com (December 6).
