AMC Alumna Named Rising Star of PR

Alumna Jaimie Caiazzo has been selected for the online media company Observer’s list of 20 “Rising Stars” of PR under 30 years old. Caiazzo, Advertising and Marketing Communications ’13, was nominated for the accolade by the communications agency Sharp Think, where she works as an account director. Observer wrote that she “is the brain behind some of Sharp Think’s fastest-growing client engagements, from plant-based seafood startup Good Catch to insurance giant Prudential to Lyft … . She has landed Prudential high-visibility consumer coverage in unexpected publications including Glamour, Bustle, Well & Good, and Apartment Therapy. During the coronavirus lockdown, she swiftly pivoted to a virtual produce launch for Good Catch after it became clear that a pre-planned in-person cooking demonstration was infeasible.”

“Moving forward, I want this acknowledgment of my efforts to fuel me to work even harder, smarter, and more creatively because that’s how great work takes shape,” Caiazzo said.

Caiazzo says, “I am humbled to be considered as one of Observer’s Rising Stars, especially in this year of uncertainty, constant change, and adjustment. This distinction has truly opened my eyes and allowed me to take a step back and notice that even in the moments that seem the most challenging and even impossible, hard work, diligence, and focus can make things possible. Throughout my years at FIT, one of the most important things I learned was that being passionate about your job makes the experience worthwhile and I’m honored to be recognized for that type of dedication.” Sharp Think CEO James Brodsky said, “Jamie is way ahead of her years.” Roberta Elins, professor, Advertising and Marketing Communications, fondly recalled Caiazzo’s contributions to the Public Relations Student Society of America, and added, “She’s amazing.”
