Alumna Makes Turbans for Women Undergoing Chemo

In the years since she graduated, Sarah Musa worked for prominent fashion companies including Ralph Lauren and Club Monaco. Eventually, however, she decided to strike out on her own. As she explained recently, “What inspired me to leave and start my brand was, there was a need in the market for what I couldn’t find for myself. As someone who wants to observe their faith [she is Muslim] but also be fashionable, it was hard for me to actually find turbans.”

On March 9, ABC’s Good Morning America ran a feature about Musa, Fashion Design ’08, Patternmaking Technology ’07, who has partnered with the American Cancer Society to produce a line of sustainably fabricated turbans for women undergoing chemotherapy.
