Jennifer Shloming, associate professor and assistant chair, Science and Math, recently won SUNY’s FACT2 Award for Excellence in Instruction: Community Colleges. The prize is “designed to confer system-wide recognition for consistently superior professional achievement.”
FACT2, the Faculty Advisory Council on Teaching and Technology, is an advisory body to the SUNY provost that has evolved over more than two decades to foster collaboration and consensus within a highly diverse university community, and to offer a forum to address forward-thinking teaching and learning.
Shloming joined FIT as a part-time faculty member in 2006, and has taught at the college full time since 2014.
