In June, Ron Amato, professor of Photography and Related Media, photographed actor Jim Newman, who is currently starring in the Broadway revival of Mamma Mia. The portraits accompanied Out magazine’s recent feature-length Q&A with the actor.
Newman previously toured with the Village People for 10 years as the Cowboy and starred in the YouTube web series Daddyhunt: The Serial. The photo shoot took place at the Jalopy Theater and School of Music in Brooklyn, and the images are part of Amato’s ongoing Theater Folk portrait series.
