Five FIT students have been named among the members of the newest class of the Fashion Scholarship Fund: Andrew Grayson, Footwear and Accessories Design; Senia Howard, Fashion Business Management; Katlego Khunou, Fashion Business Management; Michelle Liao, Fashion Business Management; and Jaida Wamey, Advertising and Marketing Communications. The students were judged on business plan case studies they submitted for fashion companies, health care companies, sportswear companies, and social media companies, among others.

Grayson, Howard, Khunou, and Wamey were also named Virgil Abloh “Post-Modern” Scholars.

Each Virgil Abloh “Post-Modern” Scholar receives at least $10,000 in college scholarship support and participates in career-focused educational and professional development classes, networking opportunities and talent acquisition events throughout the year. FSF staff connects the scholars to 1:1 mentorship by industry leaders and to career opportunities. For Virgil Abloh “Post-Modern” Scholars with demonstrated financial need, FSF Bridge Fund grants are available to cover summer internship-related living and other expenses that would otherwise be too challenging to afford.

The new class of scholars will convene in New York City on March 23 to celebrate and display their work at the FSF LIVE Gala.

In 2026, FSF will grant over $1.9 million in scholarship support to 190+ college students, including 32 Community College Scholars, with awards ranging from $5,000 to $25,000. This amount includes 85-plus named scholarships and scholarship programs that will make a deep impact on the scholars’ professional futures. Of the members of the Class of 2026, 67% are BIPOC, 17% are in the first generation in their families to attend college, and 42% are Pell Grant–eligible (demonstrating financial need).
