The looks in this Hue photo feature were styled and photographed by student Drew Cwiek, International Trade and Marketing for the Fashion Industries ’25. He cast all the models—“It’s very friendship-based,” he says of his selection process—dressed them using a mix of their clothes and pieces he thrifted or sewed, and photographed them with his iPhone 12 Pro Max and a Canon EOS M50. Us Weekly recently wrote about the numerous celebrities who are making sustainable choices in fashion and turned to Dr. Karen Pearson, chair of Science and Math, and chair of FIT’s Sustainability Council (which just held its 19th annual sustainability conference) for comment. “If I were celebrating one thing in the fashion industry today, it’s that they’re so willing to change the narrative,” Dr. Pearson said.
