Student winners of a textile design competition sponsored by Kornit Digital will be announced at this ceremony. This is the third year that Kornit Digital is sponsoring a design competition with the graduating BFA Textile/Surface Design students. This year’s sustainability theme is “Wearable Water.” Students are awarded cash prizes and and their work will be displayed at various trade shows, including the SGIA (Specialty Graphic Imaging Association) Expo in Las Vegas in September. Kornit’s Allegro is a single-step digital textile printing solution that uses 100 percent biodegradable inks and no postprint wet process, which is better for the environment.
