Storms’s master class in 3D printing.

William Storms, a classroom assistant in Textile Development and Marketing, recently gave a talk titled “3D Printing in the World of Fashion and Textiles,” part of a series of master classes held by the department. He addressed the three main types of 3D printing, different types of printers, current work in textiles/fashion, examples of 3D printed materials, and an overview of 3D modeling programs. Master classes are usually given by faculty, but Storms, a 2013 Textile/Surface Design graduate, was asked to present this topic because of his expertise in 3D printing. For more information, contact Ann Denton, 75210.
