The Textile/Surface Design Department hosts a Textile Talk with Dani Locastro, director of operations at First2Print, a digital printing studio in New York. First2Print has become one of the leading suppliers of short-run, custom digitally printed fabric for the textile and related industries in the U.S. During the past 15 years, growth in new markets, such as the costume, interiors, and arts restoration segments, has driven the studio to focus on custom design using fabric as the medium for product that wouldn’t have been producible by traditional means.
