Robert Gutman, Former Dean for Graduate Studies, Dies

Robert Gutman, former faculty member and chair of Interior Design and the first dean for the School of Graduate Studies, died May 13 in the Bronx at the age of 90. He joined the college in 1966 and retired in 1988. He went on to teach for Bard College and other programs. Gutman was also a classical music historian and the author of Mozart: A Cultural Biography and Richard Wagner: The Man, His Mind, and His Music. His obituary was published in The New York Times on May 18.
