Retail and Art Display a Perfect Partnership

FIT’s Illustration MFA students joined with PAVE, the Planning and Visual Education Partnership, to show that retail design and art are natural partners. To demonstrate how the visual arts can enhance retail design, 14 students each created an original work of 3D art on a dress form. The forms, ornamented with dramatic, colorful designs inspired by Vera Bradley’s “Havana Rose” and “Havana Dots” collections, are on display through May 15 in six Macy’s Herald Square windows. Additional locations will be announced throughout 2017 at paveglobal.org.
