Deborah Beard, associate chair, Technical Design, participated in a panel discussion at the Product Innovation (PI) Apparel Conference in Berlin on October 27. The topic of her panel was “What Is Academia Doing to Overcome the Digital Skill Deficit and What Can Industry Be Doing to Support Them?” Beard previously participated in the PI Apparel conference in New York City and was invited to speak again, this time to European institutions, as an important and popular academic voice.
