Dr. Kristina M. Johnson was officially inaugurated the 13th Chancellor of the State University of New York during a ceremony held at FIT on Friday, September 14, 2018.
Emphasizing her vision of creating opportunity and defining excellence to enable impact, Chancellor Johnson said, “As unique and wonderful as our individual institutions are, if we can learn, search, and serve as one we are unstoppable. Discovering how to best do that will be a great challenge to all of us. For my part, I pledge to make SUNY more than the sum of its remarkable parts and the individual campuses better for being part of the whole.”
FIT President Joyce F. Brown, in introducing Dr. Johnson, said: “The future-focused vision she has crafted for SUNY … is an exciting 21st century vision, one that emphasizes sustainability, interdisciplinary research, innovation, and the technology that fuels it.”
