Yuniya Kawamura Joins Editorial Boards of Two Peer-Reviewed Journals

cover of Doing Research in Fashion and DressYuniya (Yuni) Kawamura, Sociology, has been invited to serve on the editorial board of two peer-reviewed journals: a Russian-English body studies journal titled Corpus Mundi, edited by Professor Olesya Yakushenkova of Astrakhan State University in Russia, and the Asia-Pacific Journal of Fashion and Apparel Technology, edited and published by Emerald Tree Publishing, which is based in the Philippines.

Kawamura also presented a paper titled “Commercialization and Commodification of Streetwear: From Periphery to the Mainstream” at the European Group for Organizational Studies (EGOS) conference which took place in Kyoto, Japan, in collaboration with the Department of Economics at the University of Kyoto in December 2019.

Also, in January, Kawamura’s second and revised edition of Doing Research in Fashion and Dress: An Introduction to Qualitative Methods (Bloomsbury) was published with an additional chapter on “Internet Sources and Online Ethnography” and updated case studies.
