Every year, the senior capstone class in Fashion Business Management chooses a designer and a problem to work on. This fall semester, students chose Steve Madden—and capped off the project with an invitation to Madden ‘s Long Island City headquarters to personally meet the designer and his executive team. Students and senior capstone coordinator Catherine Geib spent an afternoon in December sharing strategy ideas with Madden, topped off with $7,000 in prizes split among three winning teams.
