Assistant Professor Chloe M. Martin, Social Sciences–Psychology, was recently selected to participate in the Society for Personality and Social Psychology (SPSP) Flourish 2025 Retreat. Martin will travel to Denver in February to attend. “It is quite an honor and achievement,” says Daniel L. Benkendorf, chair of Social Sciences, explaining that retreat participants were chosen through a selective process from an international pool of candidates.
Flourish was founded in 2020 as a professional network for social/personality psychologists of color from a variety of institution types around the world and on various stages along the tenure track. The network hosts its annual retreat immediately following the SPSP annual conference, which in 2025 takes place in Denver. The day-and-a-half retreat gives scholars the opportunity to network, receive social support, and share resources as they navigate the tenure track.
