A Brooklyn store owned by Ann Cantrell, Fashion Business Management, called Annie’s Blue Ribbon General Store, was selected by the National Retail Federation Foundation as one of 20 retailers throughout the country for a partnership with Qurate Retail Group called Small Business Spotlight. Qurate owns QVC, HSN, Zulily, and Garnet Hill. Each of the 20 retailers were selected as businesses that have been hit hard by COVID-19 but are still pillars of their communities.
As part of this partnership, Cantrell did four live appearances on QVC and HSN. She has also been introduced to legislators, including her local congressional representative Nydia Velasquez, the chair of the House Committee on Small Business, with whom she did a store tour on Zoom.
