Daniel Benkendorf Presents Research on Beauty to International Conference

Daniel Benkendorf, Psychology, presented the results of his original research project titled, “Beauty and the Beast: How Interest in Beauty Undermines Subjective Well-Being” at the biennial World Congress on Positive Psychology held in July in Melbourne, Australia. The WCPP attracted a global audience of research and practicing psychologists and featured keynote addresses by Martin Seligman, Sonja Lyubomirsky, and Barbara Fredrickson, among others.

Benkendorf’s work explored the complex relationship between interest in and consumption of beauty products, life satisfaction, and happiness.
